Guidance For Fast

Heavenly Father, I am thinking about going on a fast. I need your guidance about when to start, for how long and why I should start. I want to fast for the right reason, which is to be closer to you Lord. Although I am in need in several areas of my life, I want to fast for my spiritual needs. I pray that you guide and strenghten me, in Jesus name, Amen
