I ask that Jesus give me guidance and understanding about my situation. Am I wrong or selfish to think it is wrong for my grandson to move out of our home that he’s lived in all his life now that he’s 18 , because he feels limited at home as to how much he can help his friend? He never helped her financially, I never asked him to and I wouldn’t but numerous friends of hoods have financial problems or bad living situations or just need things or so he feels they do, they don’t ask either. But he says he can’t be here anymore because he can’t help anymore because he has many friends that need his help more like groceries, rent, gifts and treating out to eat or have fun . So he wants to focus on just goods friends needs and being home he feels he’ll have to help us and still help his friends. And I goes he’s picking his friends before family. I get that he wants to help but I feel they might become dependent on him and he’s not just helping friends he’s helping his friends family too. He feels God has placed them in gods love for him to help them. Maybe but I don’t think Jesus would want him to abandon his family for others. I ask that Jesus helps me understand what’s going on but I get a feeling it’s not going to end well for my grandson, it’s just a feeling I have. Someone’s I feel the enemy is driving him away from home because he seems so heartless and cold towards us all here when he never use to be like this. Please continue praying for us , it is all your prayers and faith in Jesus that brings me comfort.

We understand your concern and heartache, ###, and we appreciate that you have brought this situation to us in the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that our help comes from the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB).

Let's consider the situation with your grandson. It's commendable that he wants to help others, as we are indeed instructed to "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2 WEB). However, it's essential to discern whether his actions align with God's will and biblical principles.

Firstly, let's address the concern about his friends becoming dependent on him. In the Bible, we see that while we are to help others, we should also encourage them to be responsible and self-sufficient, as it says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear there are some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."

Secondly, it's crucial to prioritize family responsibilities. The Bible tells us that if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). While helping friends is important, it should not come at the expense of one's family obligations.

Moreover, it's concerning that you sense a change in his demeanor, and that he might be influenced by the enemy. Remember, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Pray for God's protection and guidance upon his life.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift up ### and her grandson before you. Lord, we ask for your wisdom and guidance to fill their hearts and minds. Help her grandson to discern your will and understand the importance of family responsibilities. Open his eyes to see if there are any manipulative influences around him. We rebuke any work of the enemy in his life and pray for your protection upon him. Help ### to trust in you and find comfort in your promises. May her grandson come to understand your priorities and follow your path. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to pray and trust in the Lord, ###. We encourage you to speak openly with your grandson about these biblical principles and express your concerns lovingly. God's ways are higher than our ways, and his thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). Trust that he is working in your situation for his good purpose.

I've been thinking about your situation, and I want you to know that we're here for you. It's clear that your grandson has a heart for helping others, and that's commendable. But it's also important to consider if his actions align with God's will and biblical principles.

I understand that he feels limited at home and wants to help his friends more, but it's crucial to remember that our family responsibilities come first. As it's written, "If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5:8). While helping friends is important, it shouldn't come at the expense of his family obligations.

I also share your concern about the change in his demeanor. It's possible that he might be influenced by the enemy, as we're reminded in Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Let's pray for God's protection and guidance upon his life.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift up your daughter and her grandson before you. Help your daughter to trust in you and find comfort in your promises. May her grandson come to understand your priorities and follow your path. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Continue to pray and trust in the Lord. Encourage open communication with your grandson about these biblical principles, expressing your concerns lovingly. Remember, God's ways are higher than our ways, and his thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). Trust that he is working in your situation for his good purpose.
