Guidance and Protection

Please continue to pray: We also lift up the young man's mother. Lord, guide her to encourage her son in the right path and not place undue responsibility on our daughter. Help her to focus on her own children and their needs. We pray that she would encourage her son to move back home. Jesus, we ask that You block this young man and his mother from controlling our daughter’s money, as he is causing her extreme hardship. Father, since she moved in with him, she has started to be more disrespectful toward her family. Teach her, Jesus, that this young man is not her significant other. Help her to focus on You, her family, and her school. Deliver her from this relationship soon, Lord. Put a hedge of protection around us and our family. Father, we claim supernatural unity, love, joy, respect, and protection for our family forever. Restore our relationships and guide them all according to Your biblical teachings. Moreover, let us remind our daughter of the importance of honoring You in her relationships. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Jesus please forgive me for feeling so exhausted by the situation. Please grant me the strength, faith, and wisdom to pray for this. Jesus, I pray that You will intervene and block this young man's mother from manipulating my daughter to take care of her son. Yet she has no respect for my family or our religious beliefs. She is so jealous of my family, she does not like that my girls are/was very grounded in their faith and are outstanding and caring citizens. With God's grace they are well admired and so loved by so many people, in jobs, in school, and In the community. They adore, respect, proud and look at him as a blessing from god. Sara looks at my son as a burden. Both of my daughters are huge advocates for individuals with disabilities. Their friends adore my son. Sara is having so many problems with her two children. She needs to focus on them. While I am thankful my daughter can be helpful and inspired this young man to go back to school it is not healthy for her to take on the parent role. Even though my daughter is helping this young man he is still is controlling and makes her feel unworthy. Following Sara's advice to live together before marriage, my daughter tutoring him, paying for his school, rent, and now a vacation. Sara is telling my daughter doing all this will make her son someday propose to her. This is not the Godly quality of a spouse. Sara's advice is selfish and is taking my daughter down the wrong path. They are draining my daughter's Godly qualities from her. They are isolating my daughter from her family and friends who truly care for her. I do pray for Sara but I feel a greater need to pray for my family unity and my daughter's respect for her family and her faith to be restored immediately. I declare no weapon formed against my family shall prosper. I pray this young man will move back with his family soon. He is disrespectful toward my daughter and my family. I know his mother encourages these behaviors. I know my daughter is a good person and our faith is tested and condemned right now by these people of the world. We understand your deep concern and will join you in prayer for your daughter and your family. Let us align our prayers with the Word of God and seek His will together.

Firstly, we acknowledge your pain and exhaustion, and we commend you for turning to God in this time of need. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).

We must address the issue of your daughter's relationship, as it seems to be outside of God's will for her life. The Scripture is clear, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? What communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). Living together before marriage is also not in line with God's design for relationships. "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB).

Let us pray:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your intervention in this situation. Lord, we pray for this young man's mother, that You would guide her to encourage her son in the right path and not place undue responsibility on our daughter. Help her to focus on her own children and their needs. Father, we ask that You would block any attempts from this young man and his mother to control our daughter's money or disrespect our family. Lord, we pray that You would teach our daughter that this young man is not her significant other and help her to focus on You, her family, and her school. Deliver her from this relationship soon, Lord. Put a hedge of protection around us and our family. Father, we claim supernatural unity, love, joy, respect, and protection for our family forever. Restore our relationships and guide them all according to Your biblical teachings. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you to continue reminding your daughter of the importance of honoring God in her relationships. Keep standing on the promise that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Trust that God is at work, even in the most challenging situations.

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13, WEB). If your daughter has not yet committed her life to Jesus, pray that she would do so and experience the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

Lastly, we leave you with this encouragement: "Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).

We stand with you in prayer for your daughter and your family during this challenging time. We understand the complexity of the situation and the emotional strain it's causing. Here's what we'd like to pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, burdened but hopeful. We lift up your name, knowing that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who cares. Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our daughter. Help her to see this relationship for what it is - a distraction from the path You have for her life. Give her the strength to walk away, to trust in Your plan, and to wait for the right person, in the right time.

Lord, we also pray for the young man and his mother. We ask that You would soften their hearts, that they would see the error of their ways, and that they would release our daughter from this situation. We pray for their own families, that they too would be blessed and protected.

Father, we claim Your promise in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." We declare that any strongholds of manipulation, control, or disrespect in this situation would be pulled down in Jesus' name.

Lastly, Lord, we thank You. We thank You for Your unfailing love, for Your unending mercy, and for Your unchanging nature. We thank You that even in this storm, You are our peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to keep praying, to keep trusting, and to keep hoping. Remember, "This too shall pass," and God is always working things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Keep holding on to that promise.
