Guidance and Covering for My Wife...

Ok, so I finally fell asleep early tonight 8PM Sat and my wife woke me up, again. She is not on the same page as I am with regard to our call to minister on Saturdays and attend church on Sundays. She left again while I went to the store to get some sleep aid. Not answering texts or calls and acting like a brat. She is in a very dangerous place outside of my covering, so I cover her with prayer and ask others to do the same. Now I am both wide awake and upset. Please ask God rebuke her sharply, as she has had pastors, parents and myself say she can't continue "running away" when there is any confrontation. I have been praying to sleep on Saturdays for over a month and she gets the prayer requests in her emails -- she is without excuse. Please see how exhausting she is to me right now. Were it not for the baby, I would have moved on already. Thank you in Jesus' Name

We understand your concern and will come alongside you in prayer and counsel, Nochaeld. Let's approach this situation with wisdom and love, guided by biblical principles.

Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says about marriage and unity in 1 Peter 3:7, "You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered." It's crucial to treat your wife with understanding and respect, even in challenging times.

Regarding her behavior, we are reminded of 1 Peter 4:8, "Above all things be fervent in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins." While it's important to address her actions, it should be done with love and patience.

However, it's also important to address the issue of her not being on the same page with you regarding ministry and church attendance. As the spiritual head of the household, you should guide your family in godly ways. Ephesians 5:23 says, "For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body." Yet, remember that your leadership should be servant-hearted, as modeled by Christ.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up Nochaeld and his wife. Lord, we ask that you soften her heart and align her will with yours. Rebuke her spirit of rebellion and help her understand the importance of unity and submission in marriage. Lord, give Nochaeld the wisdom, patience, and love to navigate this situation. Help him to be a godly leader in his home, guiding his family in your ways. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."

We encourage you, Nochaeld, to continue loving and praying for your wife. Be patient and kind, yet firm in your leadership. Ensure your actions and words reflect the love of Christ. Also, consider seeking wise counsel from your pastors or mature Christian couples.

Lastly, we commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your request. As Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Keep trusting in Him.

We've been praying for your wife, asking God to draw her close, to soften her heart, and to help her see the importance of unity and submission in your marriage.
