Natasha, we understand that you're seeking guidance and abundant blessing in a particular area of your life, specifically regarding your free time, activities, and events. Firstly, we want to ensure that you understand the biblical principles that should guide our steps. In Proverbs 3:5-9 WEB it is written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones. Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase".
We see and repeatedly encourage ourselves and others to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and acknowledge him or marry him in all of our ways. God will make our paths straight; we don’t need to figure it all out. Just be attentive to things he put in place and be alert and willing to depart from evil.
You also mentioned abundant blessings. In the Bible, blessings are often related to our obedience and relationship with God. In John 15:10, Jesus said, "If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love." And in John 10:10 the Bible says, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." The thief is the devil and any work or plan he can insert into our lives will be to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus, the only living son of God, tells us he came to give us life more abundantly.
Be attentive to God’s plans and be looking for a godly spouse where applicable if that is the lack or need in your life. Be open to the ideas and desires of having a family and being open to marriage. It is in countless ways one of the greatest abundant blessings God has given us. This is God’s plan where applicable to have Christ-centered marriages, which are godly. This is the pattern repeated from Genesis to Revelation at almost all points in the Bible. Frankly, it is a difficult pattern but condition to follow.
Be prayerful and mindful of who you spend your time with. Be involved perhaps in a local church if you have not and if you do, be more generous and have a desire for a more abundant life. Remember in Ecclesiastes 11:1 the Bible says, “Cast your bread on the waters; for you shall find it after many days.” And in Luke 6:38 we see “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you.” Remember, we should not give or desires God’s plans for us only to receive something in return. We give because of obedience and our love for Jesus. Consider how you spend your time, what activities you are involved in, and what events you attend. This should be after careful mediation first then reflecting on, "What event should I plan to go to?"
As the first step towards guidance and blessing is obedience to the will of God, let us pray together.
"Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus, we give thanks and praise for you are the fountain of all blessings. We praise you and your plan for each of our lives and our relationship with you. As we have obedience to you and look to your ways, we will be blessed.
Pray together for an obedience to the ways of Jesus, peace beyond understanding for your life, God’s willingness to enrich your life in every way, and his wisdom and understanding that you need and are longing for. Look to Jesus to show you and provide you with any areas you need to address in your life.
We do not know all the ways and plans of you, Lord. We can not know. Give not what we ask but what we think best for us. We bring your desires and needs of Natasha before you, Lord. Praise you. Thank you. Thank you. You do all things well. We do give you the honor and praise, In Jesus' Name." Amen.
