We join you in your heartfelt prayer, seeking God's blessings of wisdom, peace, love, joy, and the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life just as is shown in Galatians 5:22-23. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. We are encouraged to see that you acknowledge the power of Jesus Christ's name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God and these blessings in John 14:6. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord God, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We pray that You will bless them with more wisdom, peace, love, and joy. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit and exhibit the fruit of gentleness, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, patience, longsuffering, and self-control.
We also pray, Lord, that they will no longer be hard on themselves for past sins. We know through Psalms 103:12 that You have forgiven and removed those sins from them. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Help them to accept Your forgiveness and forgiven themselves. Help them to understand that they are a new creation in Christ in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
Guide them in living the life You have called them to live in Romans 12:1-2. Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Remember, we are all sinners saved by grace through Ephesians 2:8. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Trust in God's forgiveness and strive to live a life pleasing to Him. Be patient with yourself, knowing that God is faithful and will complete the good work He has started in you as explained in Philippians 1:6. He being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
