Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend ### and all those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Lord, Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18 that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that You surround ### and his friends with Your comforting presence during this difficult time.

Lord, we pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, as stated in Philippians 4:7. May they find solace in Your promises and strength in Your love. Help them to lean on You and each other for support, and to remember that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

We ask that You bring healing to their hearts and fill them with hope for the future. May they feel Your loving arms around them, and may Your grace sustain them through each day. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
