Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up our dear brother Sorselalch in prayer. Your Word tells us in Psalm 107:19-20, "Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave." Lord, we cry out to You on behalf of Sorselalch, asking for Your healing touch upon his body and mind.
Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. Your Word in Jeremiah 30:17 says, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord." We stand on this promise, believing that You will bring restoration and healing to Sorselalch's neck and alleviate his pain. We ask that You guide the doctors and medical professionals to find the root cause and provide effective treatment.
Lord, we also lift up Sorselalch's mental health to You. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are reminded, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We pray that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard Sorselalch's heart and mind, dispelling anxiety and depression.
Thank You, Lord, for the strength You have given Sorselalch to overcome addiction and remain sober. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, Your Word assures us, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" We praise You for the new creation that Sorselalch is in Christ, and we ask for continued strength and perseverance in his journey.
Father, we ask for Your hope to fill Sorselalch's heart. Romans 15:13 declares, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Let Your hope, joy, and peace overflow in his life, renewing his spirit and giving him the strength to face each day.
We pray all these things in the powerful and healing name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
