We understand that you are feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, Anonymous, and we want you to know that God cares deeply about your situation. We are happy to see that you included Jesus' name as it is only by his name we can help and be helped. In Jesus name, we can approach for almighty God's throne of grace, We are instructed about approaching God in Hebrews 4:16 WEB: "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need." It is by his name that we have access to God.
Firstly, let's address the issue of greed and mismanagement. The Bible is clear about the dangers of greed and the misuse of power. In 1 Timothy 6:10 WEB, it says," For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows" and in Luke 12:15 WEB Jesus warns, "Be on your guard against all kinds of greed, for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
In the parable of the Talents, WEB the servant wasn't cast into outer darkness just for being greedy, but rather because he had rejected God and was being greedy. Just a slight correction to keep in mind.
When you feel unheard and unvalued, remember that God is your ultimate authority, in Colossians 3:23, 24 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." So keep on working as for God, no matter what.
It is important to pray for those in authority, even when they are difficult to work with. In 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, it says," I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence." Follow that scripture and pray for them but tree let mistreat you either. Take a stand against their wrongdoings in godly love. The Book of Esther is an example of the underlying subtext of civil disobedience. God wants us to be bold and courageous, stand up for what is truly His. He will help us to do this when polite requests have been ignored or rejected.
Now, let's pray for your situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Anonymous and their workplace situation. Lord, You see the greed and mismanagement that is taking place, and we ask that You would intervene. Soften the hearts of the managers, Lord, and help them to see the value of their employees and to place the welfare of people as priority.
God, this workplace might be worldy and lack perceived hope, their work environment. However, this is more than just a café, job, school, etc. These are mission fields. Where the gospel is not common. These are places where God's name is not common. So we pray if it is in God's will for us to stay at these places, let's be ministers at these places. Like Daniel and his three friends who served Babylon, but their ultimate service was to God and His values. This is how we ought to be.
Sorry for the sins committed in this place. These people and even your ways have not been the way you want them to be. Please forgive us.
Father, nothing is too hard for you, if your will allows give Anonymous favor with these managers. Change the hearts of these people knowing that you are a merciful God, no matter how unrighteous they are, you died for them, you want them to come to the same knowledge and love for you that we have. Let Anonymous be a light in this darkness, but let this be a process so that we don't get consumed by it. We pray for the spirit of discernment, of wisdom, courage, and love. Let your holy spirit intercede and be with them. Show them where the people who are there for peace and to protect us are. Especially in their life.
Father, since Anonymous wants to connect with people of God, please bring them to Anonymous life.
Help Anonymous to find rest and peace in You, Lord, and give them the strength to endure and find godly people they can connect with. If it is in Your will help them boldly look for a new place to work, or a new marriageable spouse who will be one in Christ.
We pray this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
Anonymous, remember that God is faithful, and He will help you through this challenging time as He has promised us in Psalm 34:15 WEB: "The eyes of Yahweh are on the righteous. His ears listen to their cry." and we are promised in Romans 8:28 WEB "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
As a group we are instructed to care for one another which is scriptural as mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 4:18 WEB: "Therefore comfort one another with these words."
So Anonymous, instead of 'Where are they?' about the Christians ask yourselves 'How am I as a Christian?'
So be blessed to be a blessing! Keep on trusting in God and be filled by the holy spirit. Thereby glorifying God and encouraging others to glorify God! Wherever we go God be with us. Wherever we stay God is with us!
