We join you in thanking God for the blessings He has bestowed upon you, especially for your children and the upbringing of true Christianity. It is a wonderful thing to see faith passed down from one generation to another.
In addressing your request, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 WEB: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." It is crucial to keep our priorities aligned with God's will, trusting that He will provide for all our needs.
However, we must address the underlying sentiment of your prayer. It is important to examine our hearts and ensure that our prayers are not motivated by greed, resentment, bitterness, or a desire for vindication. The Bible warns us in Hebrews 12:15 WEB: "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled."
Instead of focusing on the deception and lies of others, let us pray for their salvation and that God's truth will be revealed in love. Romans 12:17-21 WEB reminds us: "Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for the blessings You have given us, especially for our children and the heritage of true Christianity. Lord, we pray for our children, that You would reveal Your truth to them and draw them closer to You.
Father, we ask that You would help us to forgive those who have deceived and lied about us. Help us to remember that the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this world. Give us a spirit of boldness, to speak the truth in love, and a heart of forgiveness, knowing that You have forgiven us of so much more.
Help us to keep our hearts pure and free from greed and bitterness, remembering that You are a just God and will deal with each person according to their deeds. Give us Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and help us to be lights in this dark world, overcoming evil with good.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In closing, remember the words of Psalm 37:4-6 WEB: "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: He will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noonday." Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.
