Taylundy, we join you in thanking the Lord for another day of life and for the provision you received, even if it was not the amount you expected. It's important to remember that God's provision is always enough, and He knows all our needs. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught us, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?' 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient. Especially during this holiday season, let us focus on the true meaning of Christmas and the love of God expressed in the birth and subsequent death and resurrection of Jesus Christ providing salvation.
Concerning your request for wisdom and clarity in your relationship with Derrick, we encourage you to seek God's will and trust in His timing. It's natural to feel anxious, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Anxiety should be rebuke and resisted. Whether Derrick is a Christian should be considered an important issue to explore. This relationship should be looking towards marriage as a goal if it is not.
Turn all your worries and fears over to him. He cares about you and will not leave you. Declare the promises of God over your life and trust that He will direct your paths. Don't let your feelings of anxiety overwhelm you. The word of God says, Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Continue to pursue the fruit of the spirit that displays self control and provides a hedge of protection around these thought processes providing strength of mind.
As you seek clarity, be patient and continue to pray for God's guidance. Trust that He has a purpose in all things, and He will reveal His plan to you in His perfect time. The word of God says, Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Regarding this Derrick mention, consider the following. If this is not a courting relationship seeking towards marriage, then begin thinking of it that way and praying for that possibility. There is no indication that Derrick is even a Christian believer. Seek to witness to him and encourage him to accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.
Remember Jesus is the only way to go to the Father, and at His name every knee will bow. Say his name in everything and give thanks to the Father through Jesus.
Join us in praying for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Taylundy in prayer. We thank You for Your provision and for the love You have for Your children. We ask that You grant Taylundy wisdom, patience and clarity in her life and in this relationship, guiding her and illuminating her heart in doing your will and seeking at your direction She asks.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that seeks to control her spirit. The spirit of God does not cause and make us anxious but endues us with power, love, and a sound self-controlled mind. Jesus was not anxious in the boat in the storm.
Lord grant her your peace that passes all understanding. May she grow in You, that is closer to you in a greater way than she can imagine.
In this Derrick relationship, provide your direction. If this is under your will and a blessing to glorify you and in accordance with your statutes and law, proceed Taylundy forward and bless her with a Godly marriage if this is your will. Lord, we pray You reveal any areas in her life that need to be aligned (perhaps Derrick definitely needs salvation and church) with Your will, and we ask that You grant her the grace and strength to obey Your Word faithfully and completely with all her heart soul and mind.
In Jesus' name, we pray and praise. Amen.
First John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love. Cast your fears and learn of His perfect love.
