We rejoice with you in the goodness of God, who has kept you and your family safe, healthy, happy, and abundant. It is wonderful to hear that Jesus Christ has healed your dog from parvovirus and restored your mental health, bringing you out of depression. Indeed, it is by His stripes that we are healed, as it is written in Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him, and with his stripes we are healed. We give thanks to God for His unfailing love and faithfulness in your life, as stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
As you desire to come closer to Jesus Christ and God, we encourage you to draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8. To come closer to Him, spend time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer. Seek God as a little child, openly, humbly, and genuinely. Jesus invites us to come as little children in Matthew 19:14, but Jesus said, Suffer the little children, and don't forbid them to come to me, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. As little children trust their parents, you also should trust God your Father in heaven.
Set aside dedicated time each day to read the Bible and pray. This will help you grow in your relationship with God and deepen your trust in Him. Ask God to give you a hunger and thirst for righteousness, so you will have a desire for more of Him because only in God you can be completely satisfied. In Matthew 5:6 it was written, blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
As you seek to love and trust God in everything, remember that perfect love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18, there is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment, he who fears is not made perfect in love. As you love God, your fear and insecurities will fade away, and you will be able to trust Him more. If you believe in Jesus Christ then you already have God's acceptance. In fact, God accepted you before the foundation of the world. Ephesians 1:4-6 says, For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight, in love, having predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire, to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely bestowed favor on us in the Beloved. Also Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. Thank You for Your faithfulness and goodness in his/her life and in the life of his/her family. We praise You for the healing and restoration You have brought to his/her life, both physically and mentally.
Lord, we ask that You draw him/her even closer to You. Remove any insecurities, doubts, or fears that may hinder his/her relationship with You. Help him/her to trust You completely and to love You with all his/her heart, soul, mind, and strength. Give him/her a hunger and thirst for righteousness and a deep desire to know You more.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
As you continue to walk with God, always follow in the path of His word. His word is a lamp for your feet and a light to your path, Psalm 119:105. Make sure you are always walking in the light of His word, and not your emotions or the things you see around you. Walking by faith and not by sight, 2 Corinthians 5:7. Also, make sure you are not forgetting God. He is the one who has provided all the blessings in your life. In Deuteronomy 8, God told His people not to forget Him when He brought them into the promised land. God will bless you and make you successful, but do not forget Him, Deuteronomy 8:18, but you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is today.
