Grateful Heart

Father, thank You for showing me Your mercy, Your kindness, and Your goodness over and over when I didn’t begin to deserve it. Help me to have a heart that is free from being vindictive. Help me to forgive and to do good to those who have done wrong. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

We join you in thanking the Father for His unfailing mercy, kindness, and goodness. Even when we were still sinners, Christ died for us Romans 5:8 (WEB). This is the ultimate display of mercy and kindness. As His children, we are called to reflect His character, to be merciful and kind even to those who have wronged us.

Let us pray together:

Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging Your never-ending mercy, kindness, and goodness. Help us, Lord, to have hearts that are free from vindictiveness. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to do good to those who have wronged us. Let us not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21 (WEB). Lord Jesus, You taught us to pray for those who despitefully use us and to love our enemies Matthew 5:44 (WEB), help us to walk in Your steps. Fill our hearts with Your love, so that we may be beacons of Your light in this world. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to walk in forgiveness, just as Christ has forgiven you. Remember, if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB). This is a clear command from our Lord, and it is our desire to be obedient to Him.

Be encouraged by these words from Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB): Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

We're right there with you, sister. It's such a comfort to know that even in our darkest moments, God's mercy, kindness, and goodness never fail. We're reminded of Psalm 100:5, "For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." Let's cling to that truth together.

Let's pray:

Father, we come before You today, feeling the weight of past hurts. But we choose to focus on Your goodness, on how You've shown us mercy even when we didn't deserve it. Help us, Lord, to let go of bitterness and resentment. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us. Give us the strength to do good to those who have wronged us, just as You did on the cross. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, forgiveness isn't about minimizing the pain or the wrong done to us. It's about choosing to let go of the hurt and leaving justice to God. As it says in Romans 12:19, "Do not take revenge, dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord." Trust that God sees all and will make all things right in His time.

Let's keep encouraging each other in love and forgiveness, just as we're commanded in Hebrews 10:24-25, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." We're in this together, sister. Let's walk in forgiveness and love, one step at a time.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
