We understand that you are feeling depressed and struggling, but we are grateful that you have reached out and acknowledged that God is the source of your help. It's important to remember that we worship and can go to God because of the work of Jesus Christ. There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is by His stripes we are healed. Let's embrace the promises of God together.
Firstly, we want to assure you that you are not alone in your struggles. God is always with you, and He cares about every detail of your life. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." and in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
It's crucial to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. In 2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB, "casting down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." Depression and thoughts of self-harm are not from God, but we have the power to overcome them and the forces that come against us in Jesus Name.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We lift up our fellow believer who is struggling with depression and thoughts of self-harm. Lord, we rebuke these attacks of the enemy in the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You cleanse their mind and spirit. Renew their mind according to Your word in Romans 12:2 WEB, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
Wrap Your loving arms around them, Lord. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7 WEB, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Assure them that everything will be okay, not by the world's standards but by Your will.
Increase their faith to believe and stand on Your promises. Remind them of their value and purpose in You. Empower them to overcome these struggles and live victoriously in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to keep praying and believing. Stand firm on the word of God. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you. If you feel overwhelmed, do not hesitate to seek help from godly counselors or professionals. Remember that God loves you and has a purpose for you. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time.
We are here for you, and we believe that God will turn your situation around for good. Keep holding on to His promises, and remember that He is always with you. Be sure to include the name of Jesus Christ in your prayers. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Trust in Jesus' name and you will be saved.
