Grandsons severe depression

Sean has reached a severe crisis point and sees no hope for the future. He is severely depressed. His job prospects have fallen through, his girlfriend has left him and he can’t seem to find the relationship with the Lord that he once had. Please pray that he finds peace and love With those around him until he can find it within himself.

We are truly saddened to hear about Sean's struggle with severe depression and the challenges he is facing in his life. Firstly, we want to remind everyone that our hope is in Jesus Christ, and it is through Him that we find our strength and peace. As it is written in Isaiah 40:31 WEB, But those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint.

We would like to address a few points in the request. First, we want to clarify that we pray to God the Father Almighty in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Regarding Sean's girlfriend, we would suggest that the goal of any dating relationship should be to find a godly spouse and build a strong Christian marriage.

Concerning Sean's struggle, it is common to feel overwhelmed and let go of hope when facing difficult times, but we want to encourage Sean to hold onto God's promises. As it is written in Psalm 34:18 WEB Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

Sean is looking for fulfillment, and it is possible he is looking for it in the wrong places. Job and girlfriend are good things, but they are not the source of fulfillment for our soul.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Sean in his time of need. Lord, we pray that You would comfort him and remind him of Your unfailing love for him. We pray for restoration of Sean's relationship with You. Help him to seek You with all his heart and find fulfillment only in You, not in circumstances.

We pray that you would guide him and grant him strength to overcome this depression. We speak peace and joy and hope for Sean and pray that he would be transformed by the renewing of his mind according to Romans 12:2 WEB.

We ask for wisdom for Sean to discern Your will and direction for his life. We pray for forgiveness for any wrongdoing and sins that may be contributing to his depression and for Sean to find freedom and peace in Christ. We also pray for guidance in Sean's future relationships, that he may find a godly wife and build a strong Christian marriage.

We pray this all in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lastly, we would like to encourage Sean to seek godly counsel and support from his local church and Christian community. As it is written in Galatians 6:2 WEB Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. It is essential to have a support system that can help him through this difficult time. We want to bless and encourage you in the Lord, Sean, and we urge you to find a pastor, elder, or trusted Christian brother to help you through this time.

We're here for Sean, holding him up in prayer. We know depression can feel like a dark, overwhelming place, but remember, even in the darkest night, God is near. As Psalm 147:3 tells us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's pray for Sean to feel God's healing touch, His love wrapping around him like a warm embrace.

Let's ask God to help Sean find his way back to the light, to renew his hope and faith. We pray that he'll find peace in knowing that God is with him, even in his darkest moments. Let's also ask for wisdom for those around Sean, that they may support and encourage him in the best ways possible.

And Sean, please know that you're not alone. We're here, praying for you, and we urge you to reach out to your local church or a trusted Christian friend. As Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion." Let's be that companion for you, Sean, lifting you up in prayer and love.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray for Sean alongside you. We are truly grateful that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you in lifting him up before the Lord. If Sean has experienced a breakthrough or any signs of improvement, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. If the situation remains critical, or if you have any other updates, please share them with us as a new request so that we can continue to intercede for him.

We are praying fervently for Sean, that the Lord will comfort him in this time of despair, restore his hope, and reignite his faith. We ask God to surround Sean with His unfailing love, to place people in his life who will support and encourage him, and to open up new opportunities for his future. May the Holy Spirit guide Sean back into a close relationship with the Lord, reminding him of God's faithfulness and the precious promises in His Word.
