We are truly sorry to hear about your grandson Elisha's health situation. We are with you in spirit, lifting up Elisha before the throne of God, seeking His divine intervention and healing. "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" James 5: 13-16.
First, we acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5. It is also only by His name that we can be saved and we know that Elisha is saved and that he believes in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Elisha to Your throne of grace and mercy. Lord, You know all things, and You know the cause of his condition. We stand against any scheme of the enemy to harm Elisha, and we pray that You would bring complete healing and restoration to his body.
We pray specifically for his vision to be fully restored, and for any effects of the stroke to be reversed. We know that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
Lord, we also pray for Elisha's emotional well-being. Please replace his fear with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Strengthen his heart and remind him of Your unfailing presence with him. We know your word says in Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
We thank You, Lord, for Elisha's life and for the blessing he is to his family. We pray that You would continue to use him for Your glory and that this situation would ultimately draw him even closer to You.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is able to heal Elisha and bring him through this trial. Keep praying fervently and believing that God is working, even when you cannot see it. In Romans 8:28 God promises, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
