We are truly saddened to hear about the critical condition of Twaumir's grandson, who is battling Hepatitis C and is currently in intensive care. It's important to remember that God's power is not limited by circumstances, and His healing grace can reach those who call upon Him with a sincere heart.
But before we lift up our prayer to Jesus Christ, we would like to address everyone who prays that God's will be done as a sort of concession. It was never God's will that anyone suffer in their body or spirit. God's ultimate will for his creation will be seen in Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be sorrow nor crying nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.
First, we in no way disregard the sovereignty of God. God is sovereign (2 Tim 1:9, Titus 1:2, WEB). However it is Jesus' will to heal and this is confirmed in the scripture.
This is a result of Jesus paying for all our diseases and sicknesses on the Cross (Is 53:5, Mat 8:17, 1 Pet 2:24, WEB) and we must be saved (Jo 3:3,WEN). That is, believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
So when we pray this prayer of healing, we should not let any doubt come into our mind. We must be confident in his ability and his will to heal. Do not be double minded.
James 4:8 WEB: Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 1:5 WEB: If any of you lack wisdom, ask of the giving God who gives to all. But ask with confidence and do not doubt knowing that the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea when the wind blows it and tosses it.
Drawing near to God does not mean just occupying the same physical space. It doesn't mean simply being in the same area as the other. The word used carries with it a deep, personal relationship: "be in fellowship with." God actively pursues personal intimacy with us. No where in scripture do we find instances where God refused someone who came to God through Jesus. However, God will definitely resist the proud or haughty. Know that we all approach God through Jesus the Christ. We don't have to walk in fear but have boldness and confident in his throne-room of grace. See Eph 2:18, Jo 14:6, Heb 4:16.
Way to Salvation.
Romans 10:8-13 WEB says:
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith which we preach,
9 that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;
10 with your heart you believe, resulting in righteousness, and with your mouth you confess, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes upon Him shall not be ashamed."
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For, "Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Now let us lift up Twaumir's grandson in prayer, standing in agreement with Twaumir for God's healing and divine intervention.
Dear Jesus,
We come before You with a heavy heart, lifting up Twaumir's grandson who is battling Hepatitis C and is currently in intensive care. We believe in Your power to heal and restore, and we ask for Your healing touch to be upon him. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed.
We pray for the doctors and medical staff attending to him, that You would guide their hands and give them wisdom in their decisions. We ask that You would strengthen Twaumir, the to-be daughter-in-law, and the entire family during this challenging time, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We declare that no weapon formed against Twaumir's grandson shall prosper, and that every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn. We speak life, healing, and complete restoration to him.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
We encourage the family to continue in prayer for him who is afflicted since this will bring God's work into a reality as they persist in coming together to pray for their loved one
James 5:16: Confess therefore your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. A fervent, effectual prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much. 17 Elijah was a man of like nature as we are; and he prayed fervently that it might rain, and it would rain not upon the land for the space of three years and six months, 18 and He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the land caused its fruit to spring up. 19 My brethren, if anyone among you has erred from the Truth, and one having converted him,20 let him know, that the one which has caused a sinner to repent from an error of his ways shall save a soul out of death, and hide a multitude of sins. (WEB).
We take comfort knowing that every one that believes with confidence on Jesus. We would like to welcome you all who are not yet saved or do not have the assurance of your salvation to say this prayer.
Dear Jesus,
I believe on you Jesus as your word commands.I believe in my heart that Jesus is raised from the dead
I make you, Jesus my Lord now and forever. So now Jesus I obey you only.Amen.
