We understand your heartfelt concern for your grandchildren, especially Donald and Toz. We will lift them up in prayer, trusting that God's will be done in their lives.
Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promises. In Jeremiah 29: 13-14 WEB βYou will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. I will be found by you,β says Yahweh.β "I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says Yahweh; and I will bring you again to the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive." God is faithful, and He desires that all should come to repentance.
However, we want to address something important. You mentioned praying for Jesus to forgive Donald's mistake, but it's crucial to understand that forgiveness comes through confessing and repenting. In Acts 3: 19-21 WEB "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before, whom the sky must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets." It's our hope that Donald will come to comprehending and surrender his mistakes at the foot of the cross. Furthermore, he must understand God will not accept his past sin as acceptable and he is expected to live by a more stringent morality which may be different than he is used in Acts 17: 30-31 WEB because he has given himself to Jesus Christ. "The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent, because he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he has ordained; of which he has given assurance to all men, in that he has raised him from the dead."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Gragar's grandchildren to Your throne of grace. We commitment to showing a Godly example in their own life, especially kindness and forgiveness of others. Lord, we pray that You will soften Donald's heart, convict him of mistakes so he can address them, grant him the gift of repentance, forgiveness, and the assurance of salvation in Jesus Christ. May Donald find peace, forgiveness of his mistakes and restore in Jesus' name.
We also pray for Toz and the other grandchildren. May they grow up to know You, love You, and serve You all the days of their lives. We pray for a biblical example in their lives and their parents may seek a spouse rather than go from relationship to relationship
In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
Stand on God's promises in Philippians 1:6 WEB "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." Trust that God is working in their lives, even when you don't see immediate results.
