Beloved Servant
Proverbs 15:26 God can't stand evil scheming, but he puts words of grace and beauty on display.
Though it has been well over two thousand years since Christ left this earth, God has not forgotten about His promise to return to us; Yet, He is gracious and merciful to give the world time (a grace period). BUT GOD is not mocked. We must not trample on His good graces. For no one knows the day nor hour. Therefore, it to man's optimal benefit to do as the prodigal son did and come to his senses, sooner rather than later. In the interim, because His ideal purpose is that none should perish, God sends His Spirit, The Holy Spirit, Jesus' Spirit of Comfort and Truth, to those who repent and turn away from sin.
2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to REPENTANCE.Though it has been well over two thousand years since Christ left this earth, God has not forgotten about His promise to return to us; Yet, He is gracious and merciful to give the world time (a grace period). BUT GOD is not mocked. We must not trample on His good graces. For no one knows the day nor hour. Repentance (humble contrition) according to the scriptures, is this:
Old Testament
Ezekiel 33:14-16 "'On the other hand, if I tell a wicked person, "You'll die for your wicked life," and he repents of his sin and starts living a righteous and just life—being generous to the down-and-out, restoring what he had stolen, cultivating life-nourishing ways that don't hurt others—he'll live. He won't die. None of his sins will be kept on the books. He's doing what's right, living a good life. He'll live.
New Testament
Luke 3:11 "If you have two coats, give one away," he said. "Do the same with your food."
Luke 3:13-14 He told them, "No more extortion—collect only what is required by law." Soldiers asked him, "And what should we do?" He told them, "No shakedowns, no blackmail—and be content with your rations."
Matthew 5:23-24 "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
AND JESUS SAID
John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands."No foolish rituals, just repentance
