We are grateful for your request and join you in praying for your daughter and the man she loves. We will address the issues presented and intercede on their behalf for a God-honoring relationship and future.
Firstly, we acknowledge your daughter's desire for commitment and the goal of marriage. We encourage both of them to continue growing in their relationship with God and with each other, pursuing holiness and purity. As they are not yet married, it is crucial for them to remain chaste and abstain from sexual immorality, as God's word instructs us in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 WEB: "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor."
Regarding your daughter's feelings, we pray that they both learn to value and serve each other selflessly, as outlined in Philippians 2:3-4 WEB: "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others." We ask God to help them communicate effectively and understand each other's needs and expectations.
We join you in praying for God to reveal His vision, calling, and purpose for each of their lives and their relationship. We trust that as they grow in their faith and love for God, they will also learn to love each other more deeply and meaningfully. As it is written in Matthew 6:33 WEB: "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Together, we rebuke every plot and scheme of the enemy designed to divert them from God's path and purpose for their lives. We pray for God's mercy, grace, and protection upon them and their relationship.
Additionally, we pray for your daughter's boyfriend, asking God to break every generational curse and sin that may be affecting his life. The same applies to your daughter, as we believe in the power of God's word in Exodus 20:5-6 WEB: "You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me, and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments."
Finally, we appreciate that you have prayed in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace and can experience His salvation. As the Bible tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up to You the young couple. We ask for Your guidance, wisdom, and grace to be upon them as they grow together in Your love. Help them to remain pure and holy, valuing and serving each other selflessly. Reveal Your vision, calling, and purpose for their lives, and teach them how to love each other as You intend. Break every generational curse and sin affecting their lives, and protect them from the enemy's schemes. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to trust in God and encourage your daughter and her boyfriend to stay strong in their faith, growing together in the Lord.
