We stand with you in prayer for this couple, lifting them up in the name of Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the importance of seeking God's will in all things, including relationships. As it is written in Matthew 18:20 WEB, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this couple to You. We pray that You would help them grow in their love for each other as they navigate the challenges of their past, mistakes, and generational sins. Strengthen their commitment to each other and to You, Lord. Let their relationship be a testament to Your love and grace, rooted deeply in Your Son, Jesus Christ.
We rebuke any words or curses spoken over them that do not align with Your will. As it is written in Proverbs 18:21 WEB, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit." Let their words and the words spoken over them be filled with life and blessings that build them up towards your goals. We claim the promise of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Father God, help them to grow individually and together in their faith. Guide them as they seek to be a Godly couple, rooted in Your truth. Remind them of the sanctity of marriage and the commitment it entails. We know that sexual intimacy is a gift from You, to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Help them to remain pure and honor You with their bodies, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Lord Jesus, we ask that You would hear our prayers and answer according to Your will. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. It is only in Your name, Jesus, we have access to God the Father. You are Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son, Savior, and Lord of our life. Only by your name can we be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage this couple to continue seeking God's will for their relationship. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of keeping Jesus Christ at the center of their relationship. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It is only through believing in Jesus' name, believing in His death and resurrection, and doing the will of God that we can be saved and have eternal life. Continue to pursue a relationship that honors God and keeps Jesus at the center.
