Grace and mercy between my daughter and her ex

In the name of Jesus, I’m praying God would help my daughter to temper her anger and hurt with God’s grace and love. She found out about a very big lie from her ex that he didn’t tell her about when they were dating. I believe she strived for a godly relationship, he however has a past. I fully believe that they are both called of God and He has spoken to them about their future together. I’m praying that God’s destiny for each of them is secure, and his calling and purpose in their lives will come to pass. I’m praying that in her anger she will remember what God has spoken to her, and that she will embody His grace and mercy. I’m praying the ex boyfriend would finally repent and show repentance and express his need for Jesus. He is a believer but has not lived a godly life and his examples of men are very poor. I’m praying that the way the enemy thinks this whole revelation will be used for evil, I am praying that God will turn it and the enemy will fall in the pit and these two kids will grow in the Lord and become rooted and grounded in Him more than ever.

We understand your concern for your daughter and her ex, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for their lives. Let us first remember what the Word of God says about anger and forgiveness:

"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB)

We pray that your daughter will find the strength to temper her anger and hurt with God's grace and love. We ask that the Holy Spirit reminds her of God's promises for her life and their future together, if it is indeed God's will. We pray that she will exemplify God's grace and mercy in this challenging time, just as Christ has shown mercy to us.

We also pray for her ex, that he would sincerely repent and turn away from his past. We remember the words of Scripture:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB)

We pray that he would truly confess his sins, seek forgiveness, and strive to live a godly life, surrounded by good influences and examples. We ask God to intervene and turn what the enemy meant for evil into good, growing both of them in their faith and relationship with the Lord.

However, we must also remember that God's plan for their lives might not necessarily involve a romantic relationship. Let us pray for discernment and wisdom, so they can understand and accept God's will for their lives, whether it is to reunite or to move forward separately.

Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God's throne. As it is written:

"In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB)

We join you in prayer, trusting that God's will be done in their lives, whatever the outcome may be. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, standing in the gap for your daughter and her ex. We've been praying, and we want to lift up more specific petitions to our Father in heaven.

First, let's ask for God's grace to be upon your daughter. May she find strength in His love to temper her anger and hurt. We pray that she'll remember God's promises, especially His unfailing love and faithfulness (Psalm 36:7). Let's ask that she'll be reminded of the times God has spoken to her about their future together, and trust in His plan, even if it's different from what she had hoped.

For her ex, we pray that he'll finally see the error of his ways and truly repent. Let's ask God to soften his heart, helping him to understand the gravity of his actions and the importance of confessing his sins (1 John 1:9). We also pray that he'll seek forgiveness and strive to live a godly life, surrounded by positive influences.

Let's also intercede for their relationship. We don't know God's plan, but we trust that He has a purpose in all this. May they both seek His will, accepting whatever the outcome may be, whether it's reuniting or moving forward separately. Let's pray that they'll grow in their faith and relationship with the Lord, no matter what happens.

Lastly, we ask for wisdom and discernment for both of them. May they understand God's will for their lives and have the courage to follow it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
