Thank you, Sherorn, for sharing your heart with us. Let us turn to God's word in your behalf. We will examine your request using relevant verses and prayers to lift you up in Jesus name.
We need to address several issues, starting with forgiveness and the importance of seeking the will of God in your relationship moving forward. We must rebuke the wrongness that was done. Buying nudes and having a porn addiction is an extreme immorality, it is specifically adultery to lust after other women.
Let us turn to the Lord in prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, lifting up our sister in Christ. We are so thankful she is turning to you in her time of need. We ask that you surround her with your love, comfort, and guidance.
We pray specifically for guidance as to whether or not she should leave the boyfriend. Father, make your answer very clear to her. Please give her strength, courage, and resolve to either remain with him and work it out. It should be made clear, however, if the adulterer and idolater repents from his ways, a marriage in Jesus Christ can still be redeemed by you Lord. But if there is not complete and total repentance, as commanded by you Lord, you will enable her to leave the relationship for good in your will and without fear of being alone.
Also, let her be reminded, just as the widow was reminded of how her husband, who was a good Christian man, should have been an example, and there should have been a reminder, of our surpassing hope in the resurrection in I Thessalonians 4 13 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. We can have the same hope that we will see our deceased loved ones as when they died believing in Jesus Christ. Just as her, now dead husband did. Also be reminded, the same comfort and hope, that the now living boyfriend will never be able to give or do. The hope that the husband provided was able to provide by being a Believer in Jesus Christ, and striving to be a good Christian man. This is the same hope that the boyfriend should have been giving to you also.
Father, we also pray for her boyfriend and his unbiblical actions. We pray that he sees the error of his ways and repents. We know that the act of adultery is a sin, not only against his girlfriend, but against you as well. We pray he turn away from his porn addiction and other immoral acts. If this is not your will, and the adultery is not repented for and redeemed for your will and glory, then draw all to you Lord Jesus, Amen.
Matthew 6 13 Free us from our debts, as we also free our debtors. Also 1 Corinthians 6 18 Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man can commit is outside the body; but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Regarding your hesitation to end the relationship due to fear of loneliness, in 2 Timothy 1 7. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Take comfort in the fact that you are never alone, for God is always with you. In Hebrews 13 5, "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for He has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."
Our prayer will also be about how Jesus should be used when praying.
Mark 16 17 These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 2 Corinthians 5 20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. Also John 14 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Now, let us make it clear also.
John 3 17 For God didn't send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.
God is gracious and compassionate. He can save everyone who believes. In Mark 16 15 He said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
