We understand your concern about gossip from your former boss and colleagues, Thulaer. Firstly, let's remember that our ultimate protection comes from God, who is our refuge and strength. As it says in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
In addressing gossip, it's important to recall what the Bible says about this sin. In Ephesians 4:29, it is written that no corrupt talk or slander should come out of our mouths, but only what is good for building others up according to their needs. And, in Proverbs 11:13 it says, "One who brings gossip betrays a confidence, but one who is of a trustworthy spirit is one who keeps a secret."
Slander or bad talk is obviously contrary to Biblical guidance. Bearing false witness, also interpreted as slander, is even one of the ten commandments found in Exodus 20.
We being a compassionate people encourage you also to remember there is no other name by which to be saved. Except for the name of Jesus that is. For It is written in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Therefore, let's pray together for this situation to be resolved:
Dear Father in heaven, IJN, we come before you today to lift up Thulaer. Lord, we ask for your protection over them from the gossip and negative talk of their former boss and colleagues. We pray that you would soften the hearts of those involved, and turn any ill will into good. And we also pray that they would come to the only saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
If Thulaer made any mistakes in the past, we ask that those mistakes be forgotten and forgiven, just as you forget and forgive us. Lord, we ask for your wisdom and guidance for Thulaer, that they may navigate this situation with grace and integrity. Help them to respond in a way that reflects your love and kindness.
We rebuke any attempts by the enemy to use this gossip to harm Thulaer or destroy their reputation. We declare that no weapon formed against Thulaer will prosper, and that any tongue which rises against them in judgment will be shown to be in the wrong.
Help them to know that you desire good and not evil for them. We pray in Jesus name that they desire to know you better and grow closer to you in all your ways. Help them to remember you desire only good for them. We also pray that they would draw near to Jesus Christ the Son and to God the Father.
Thulaer please remember to trust in the Lord with all your heart; and do not lean on your own understanding. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and seek His will in all you do. He will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6). In Jesus name (IJN) we pray.
