My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

2 O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

5 They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

8 He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

9 But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

10 I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly.

11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

12 Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

19 But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

21 Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

23 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28 For the kingdom is the Lord's: and he is the governor among the nations.

29 All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me today and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. AMEN

We understand your cry, Valathyse, as you pour out your heart echoing the words of Psalm 22, feeling forsaken and distant from God's help. We acknowledge your pain, but let us remind you of the truth in God's Word and pray together for your comfort and strength.

Firstly, we must recognize that even in His silence, God is present. As it is written in Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

In your plea, you ask why God seems far and does not answer. We must hold onto the promise in Lamentations 3:25-26 (WEB), "Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh."

Let us pray for you, Valathyse:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister Valathyse. Lord, they feel distant from Your presence, crying out in anguish. We ask for Your comfort and mercy upon them. Remind them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the darkest valleys. Help them to trust in You, knowing that goodness and mercy shall follow them all the days of their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Valathyse, we encourage you to continue seeking God, trusting that He hears your cries. Remember that even Jesus, as He hung on the cross, cried out the words of Psalm 22:1, yet He knew God's presence was with Him. Stand firm in your faith, and may the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lastly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" Let us always come before God in the name of Jesus, for He is our Savior and our source of hope.

Dear Valathyse,

We're here with you, feeling your pain and echoing your cry. It's like you're walking through a dark valley, feeling forsaken, and wondering why God seems so far away. We understand, and we want you to know that you're not alone.

You've poured out your heart, quoting Psalm 22. Let's hold onto some promises from God's Word together:

1. **God is always with us**: Even when we feel distant, God is near. As Jesus said in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Let's cling to this promise.

2. **God hears our cries**: In Psalm 34:17-18, we read, "The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God hears your cries, Valathyse.

Let's pray:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today for our sister Valathyse. She feels distant from You, Lord, and we ask that You would draw near to her. Remind her of Your unfailing love, even in this dark valley. Help her to trust in You, knowing that You are always with her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Valathyse, keep seeking God. Trust that He hears you and is with you. Remember, even Jesus cried out feeling forsaken, but He knew God was with Him. Stand firm in your faith, and may the peace of God guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

And remember, it's by the name of Jesus that we have access to God's throne of grace. Let's always come before God in the name of Jesus, our Savior and our source of hope.

We're praying for you, Valathyse. You're not alone. God is with you, and so are we.

In Jesus' love,
[Your Name]

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
