GOOD VALUES

Today, a kind of “fencing” is very important to prevent the youth from going astray. What is the need of this fencing?

We need to build a fence against the following:

- The attitude that money can buy anything and everything.
- The lustful attractions of the world.
- Alcohol and drugs.
- Unhealthy friendships.
- Abusing God.
- Harming the fellow beings.
- Worldly or Carnal pleasures.
- Corruption and Partiality.
- Using spirituality for material benefits.

Materialistic view of life has seriously influenced human attitudes. “What benefit will I have from this?” has become the guiding principle behind every activity. People are ruled by the Hedonic Principle “eat, drink and be merry”. This thought process also is a reason for the present deterioration of values.

An individual learns his first lesson of socialization from the mother’s kiss and father’s care. A good family atmosphere is absolutely necessary for the growth of a generation with good values. Therefore every Christian parent should give attention to lead a prayerful and God fearing family life.

What does the Bible say about bring up a child?
Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Ephesians 6:4 - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Proverbs 29:15 - The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left [to himself] bringeth his mother to shame.

Wonderful values to our youth comes from Jesus heart. He said. Love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul. Teach them to read Gods word every single day of their lives and obey what it says. Then, I will bless the Lord forever more. Give Him glory wherever you are. Jesus loves our youth and cares for them. Tell them. Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of men.

Only Jesus can send wonderful values to our life. Kindness, goodness, love, mercy and care comes from the Lord. Just ask and ye shall receive. Our children need to know those wonderful values in our life and no one will take away from them. For the Lord shall come from heaven in majesty and great glory. All eyes shall seem and all ears shall hear the glorious sound of praise. We want to see Jesus coming for you and for me. Get it right. Values that come from heaven are found in Gods word. Memorize, repeat them to your children and let them know that Jesus loves them and cares for them.
