We understand your desire for deep, restful sleep, and we are here to pray and offer guidance according to biblical principles. Remember God wants us to be blessed with peaceful sleep (Psalm 4:8), and that by Him we can sleep in safety (Psalm 3:5-6).
First, let us remember the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written: "For 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB) and "In that day you will ask in my name; and I do not say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God." (John 16:26-27 WEB).
Now, let us pray for your request:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who longs for deep, restful sleep. Lord, You know the importance of sleep for our bodies and minds, and we ask that You grant this blessing to them.
Father, we pray that from today only good dreams from You are remembered and bad dreams are forgotten. We pray that You will remove any dreams of eating or any other disturbing dreams that hinder restful sleep. We pray for protection from any spiritual disturbances that may be causing this issue.
We ask that You help them to sleep deeply and peacefully, as they did a decade ago. Lord, let their sleep be so refreshing and rejuvenating that they wake up each day feeling renewed and strengthened.
Father, we also pray for their faith to be strengthened (James 1:6), and for them to know that You are the source of their peace and rest. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You (1 Peter 5:7), knowing that You care for them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to examine your heart and life for anything that may be hindering your sleep. Consider if there are any sins to confess, worries to cast on God, or habits to change, such as avoiding heavy meals or screens before bedtime. Also consider praying before bedtime and ask God for protection and peaceful sleep.
Trust in the Lord, and remember that His peace can transcend all understanding and guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
