We join with you, Saraha, in lifting up this important prayer for restful sleep. The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for he gives sleep to his beloved." God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our need for rest and sleep.
However, we want to gently remind you that it is essential to come before God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We are glad you ended your prayer in Jesus' name, for there is power in His name.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, asking for the gift of peaceful and restful sleep for everyone. Quiet our racing minds, comfort those in pain, and address whatever problem may be hindering our rest. We trust in Your care and love for us. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing provision. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue seeking God for all your needs, big or small. Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Keep trusting in Jesus' name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
