We understand your desire for peaceful and restful sleep, Saraha. We are reminded in Psalm 127:2 that “It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for he gives sleep to his beloved” (WEB). God desires that we rest well and trust in Him.
However, we notice that your prayer, while heartfelt, does not specifically mention the role of Jesus Christ in our lives. It is through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'” (WEB). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, acknowledging His role as our mediator and savior.
For those nights when your mind is racing, remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7, “In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus” (WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for peaceful and restful sleep for Saraha and everyone who is weary. Quiet our racing minds, comfort those in pain, and help us to cast all our anxieties on You. Thank You, Lord, for Your love and care. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Saraha, and continue to trust in the Lord. May His peace and rest be with you.
