Good relationship with my son who is almost 18

Dear Jesus, give me patience, strength and peace when raising my son. He is distant and our relationship is struggling. Also, give my husband and I a good relationship when dealing with him.

We understand your concern and we join you in prayer for your relationship with your son and the unity between you and your husband in dealing with him.

Firstly, let's remember the words of the Lord in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Even when it seems tough, keep instructing him in the way of the Lord.

In regard to his distance, we recall 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Let's pray that God fills all of you with His love, which can break down barriers and bring you closer.

For your relationship with your husband, let's remember Ephesians 5:21, "subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ." Unity and mutual respect are key in handling issues related to your son.

Let's pray:

Dear Jesus,
We come before You, asking for Your divine intervention in MVF's family. Lord, we ask for patience, strength, and peace for MVF as she raises her son. Break down the walls of distance and bring them closer together. Guide her husband and her to be united in dealing with their son, with mutual respect and love.

Lord, we also pray that MVF's son will come to know You personally. May Your love fill their home and draw them all closer to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, MVF, we encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your family. Keep your hope anchored in Him, as He is faithful to His promises. As a reminder, it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. Keep your faith firmly grounded in Him.

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough when our kids grow older and seem to pull away, and it can be even harder when it feels like our husbands aren't on the same page. But remember, we serve a big God who's got this. He sees your heart, your efforts, and He's right there with you.

Let's cling to Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's ask Him to heal any hurts, to mend any rifts, and to fill your home with His love and peace.

For your son, let's claim Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." Let's pray that God's peace will guard your heart as you navigate this season, and that it will also reach your son, drawing him closer to you and to the Lord.

As for your husband, let's lift him up too. Let's ask God to give him wisdom and understanding, and to strengthen your bond as you face these challenges together. Let's pray that they'll both find unity and mutual respect in Christ, just like it says in John 17:21, "that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me."

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God's face together. We're in this with you, sister. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
