Boilrard

Disciple of Prayer
Good morning, I'm Tylia Johnson, a full-time college student at the University of Memphis. Currently studying psychology with a minor in social work, I'm an undergrad sophomore. Unfortunately, I lost my job on January 4, 2024, and it's been a challenging week. I've been feeling overwhelmed, dealing with depression, and worrying about how I'll manage my sophomore year starting on January 17th. Despite applying for part-time jobs, I haven't heard back yet. It's hard to open up to family and friends about my struggles, and I feel lost since losing my job. Coming from a low-income single-parent household, funding my education is a concern. I love studying psychology, but the cost of college and the difficulty in securing scholarships are stressing me out. I've even tried becoming an RA. I would appreciate prayers for strength, focus this semester, and success in finding a flexible weekend job. Additionally, I'd like prayers for my little sister, Mary Wilson, to either return to regular school or find success in homeschooling.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of Boilrard, who is facing various challenges in their life. Lord, we lift up Tylia Johnson, a full-time college student at the University of Memphis, who recently lost their job. We pray for comfort and strength during this difficult time of unemployment. Please ease their worries and anxieties, and grant them peace of mind.

Father, we ask for your guidance and provision as Tylia begins their sophomore year on January 17th. Help them to stay focused on their studies and grant them the wisdom and understanding they need to excel in their psychology and social work courses. Lord, we know that you are the source of all knowledge and understanding, and we ask that you grant Tylia the ability to grasp and retain the information they need for their education.

We also lift up Tylia's financial concerns. Lord, you know their situation coming from a low-income single-parent household. We ask for your provision and favor in securing scholarships and financial aid to alleviate the stress of funding their education. Open doors for opportunities that will help Tylia meet their financial needs, whether it be through part-time employment or other means. Grant them the flexibility they need to balance work and studies.

Furthermore, we pray for Tylia's little sister, Mary Wilson. We ask for your guidance and direction in her education, whether it be returning to regular school or finding success in homeschooling. Lord, bless her with the resources and support she needs to thrive academically and personally.

In all these things, we trust in your faithfulness and provision. We thank you for hearing our prayers and for your unwavering love and care. May Tylia and Mary experience your peace, strength, and guidance in every aspect of their lives.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.

Amen.

Let Us Pray: God Thank You. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for always being there for me. God, I ask You in Jesus' name bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Heal me in every area of my life. Let Your Word be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God bless me with Your favor, knowledge, wisdom, peace, protection, prosperity, strength, and success in all You have called me to do. And bless me to do all You have called me to do in the spirit of excellence for Your glory.

God bless me with the strength, desire, and passion to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Bless me to know You, love You, and live my life to please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live. Let the world see that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all
those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Thank You Lord Jesus. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so in Jesus' name. Prayer was written by Encourager Linda Flagg, M.A., Board Certified Professional Christian Life Coach.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
