Prayer: Father, I love and worship you for your great and gracious love in sending the Lord Jesus so that we could receive your Word in our hearts, by faith in Christ. Thank you for your Word, which reminds me that this world is not my home and I am just passing through on the way to my heavenly home. Grant me courage and compassion, dear Father, as I live in a place and time of both danger and grace. Keep my heart on the light, and my strength renewed when I face the powers of darkness and the hate this world might offer.
