We lift up this prayer request to You, Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask for Your blessings upon good government, as stated in 1 Timothy 2:1-3, where it says, "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior." We pray that You would raise up strong leaders and bring down corrupt ones, according to Your will, as mentioned in Psalm 75:6-7, which says, "No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves. It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another."
Lord, we ask for Your strength to be upon us as we intercede and pray for pastors, government and spiritual leaders, missionaries, our churches, and other Christian churches and ministries. Help us to be holy, without spot or wrinkle, as Ephesians 5:26-27 encourages us, "to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless."
We also ask for Your protection, Lord, keeping us from the evil one, as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13, "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." May we be kept safe and guarded by Your power, as Jesus prayed for His disciples in John 17:15, "My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one."
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your sovereignty and believe that You will answer according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
