We commend you for walking away from those who do not value you and for standing up for the truth. It is important to surround ourselves with people who build us up and encourage us in our faith. The Bible tells us, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB) and Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. (Proverbs 27:17 WEB).
Let us pray together, "Dear Lord, in Jesus' name, we ask for your will to be done in this situation. We pray for godly friends to come into this person's life, friends who will support and encourage them in their faith. We ask that you guide them to a community of believers who will love and value them as you do.
Lord, we also pray for those who admonished this person for standing up for the truth. We pray that their hearts would be softened and that they would come to a full knowledge of the truth. We ask that you would correct the situation and bring reconciliation where possible.
Thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and faithfulness. We ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen."
Remember, it is better to have few real godly friends than many acquaintances who distract us or use us. Continue to seek God's will and trust in him. He cares for you and will provide the friends you need.
Be assured that standing up for the truth will likely cause admonishing from the world. Even Jesus warned us that In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 WEB). It is better to obey God than man. Keep standing up for the truth.
As for the admonishing, consider what Jesus said, Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. (Matthew 5:11 WEB). Those who are upset with the truth are more likely to have a problem with Jesus than with you. Keep being the light of the world as Jesus commanded.
Lastly, thank you for praying in Jesus' name. This is the only way we have access to God. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6 WEB). For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
