Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts burdened for these two sons who are struggling with addiction and showing disrespect towards their parent. Lord, You are the Great Healer, and we know that nothing is impossible for You. Your Word says in Psalm 107:20, "He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave." We ask that You send Your healing Word into their lives, breaking the chains of addiction and restoring them to wholeness.
Father, we also pray for a transformation in their hearts. Ephesians 4:31-32 reminds us, "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." May these young men come to know the power of Your love and forgiveness, leading them to show respect and honor to their parent.
Lord, we ask for strength and wisdom for this parent. James 1:5 assures us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." Grant this parent the wisdom and patience needed to navigate this challenging time.
We trust in Your mighty power and love, believing that You can bring about miraculous change. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
