We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation your fiancé is facing. It is disheartening when trust is breached, especially by someone known to us. We want to remind you both of what the Bible says in Psalm 37:5–7 WEB, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him."

Let us pray together for this situation:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up [Waxby's fiancé] to You, asking for Your divine intervention in this financial situation. We pray that the person who has wronged Your child will be convicted by the Holy Spirit, and that the debt will be repaid swiftly. Lord, we also ask for Your peace and comfort to fill [Waxby's fiancé] during this time of stress and uncertainty. Give them both the strength and wisdom to navigate this challenge, always looking to You for guidance. Lastly, we noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
