Because He loves you!!!! Very very very much He loves you. When you read your Bible, the Word of God, you will see that He loves you. Would you send "YOUR" son to die for that drunkard neighbor of yours or the guy who ran a stop sign and killed a friend of yours? Well. God sent "His" Son to die for us and take "OUR" punishment for the sinful life we have led. And because of what Jesus did we who put our trust in Jesus now have eternal life. And now "we" believers are called children of God with God as our Father.
If your prayers are not being answered, your prayers may not be in line with the Will of God. So change your prayers. Find out what God wants of you. Ask the Holy Spirit what you should be praying for.
1 John 5:14-15 (ASV)
14 And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that,
if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:
15 and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
The answer will always be "YES" and "AMEN" when we pray and ask according to the Will of God for our lives.
Perhaps your prayers are "toooo small" and you need to be asking for something larger.
James 4:1-3 (ASV)

even of your pleasures that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and covet, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war; ye have not, because ye ask not.

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may spend it in your pleasures.
You have a mission/assignment only you are qualified to do during your life here on earth. So, get on with doing it. The Holy Spirit will get you there if you submit to Him and let Him lead you.
