We are with you in spirit, lifting up your husband in prayer as he ventures out while managing his COPD with oxygen. Let us come before the Lord together.
Beloved, we are confident that through the name of Jesus we can approach God, fully assured of his grace. First, let us acknowledge God’s presence:
**In Jesus' name,**
**Father** in heaven, we come before You, lifting up our brother who is stepping out in faith today. We know that You are the source of our strength, and our times are in Your hands. We trust You and our hearts are steadfast, O God. We will sing and make melody. You break the activity of the wicked, You establish the just with Your words.
Lord, You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We know that nothing can separate us from Your love, Lord. Neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from Your love.
Give him the strength to overcome any anxiety or fear he may feel as he takes this important step. Guide his path and grant him the wisdom to pace himself. We ask for Your healing touch on his body, and we pray for his lungs to function better than the doctors have predicted.
Father, we also pray for his wife, that You would fill her with Your peace and reassurance as she supports her husband during this time. We pray that their love for each other would be a reflection of Your unfailing love for us.
Lord, we ask that You would use this experience to draw them closer to You and to each other. That their love and commitment the sacrament of marriage would be a beacon of hope and encouragement to those around them. Remember your promise that a threefold cord is not quickly broken. An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who shames him is as rottenness in his bones. A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband.
In all things, Lord, we trust in Your goodness and Your plan. We ask for complete healing and restoration of his body, and we thank You for the many blessings You have already poured out on him and his family.
Father, we come before You in Jesus’ name. Let us never forget that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, died that we might have eternal life. That whoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
We encourage both of you to continue trusting in the Lord, drawing strength from His word, and knowing that you are never alone. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Stand firm in your faith, and may the love of Christ surround you and guide you through your journey. May you marry strong and let not man put asunder.
