Beloved of All
I tried to reconnect with people from ym hometown church..but they seem to act like I betrayed them pr something for leaving...I moved to another country for a few years and it seems I may be going back....they made a lot of drama behind my back and this is all very confusing. I tried to reconnect with the girl who is now a pastors wife, Cynthia, but she ignored me...I also tend to reconnect to the pastor, her husband, cuz he is like a brother to me and one of my own brothers close friends but he acted the same. I'm nervous of going back and that everything is wrong.. like I am not welcomed or I am mistreated or my baby is mistreated.. I am nervous he will repeat his father's mistakes, the ex pastor who now rests in peace, of throwing shade at people while preaching because that is something he had started doing before I moved...he would listen to his friends rumors and assumptions and use it to preach thinking he is preaching truth and Jesus cuz his friends and family say so.... including his wife... I would also like to pray for this pastor, Dany and Cynthia...May Jesus guide and protect them. May they listen to Jesus and not the people so that way they will teach about him. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

We understand that you're feeling confused and nervous about reconnecting with people from your hometown church. Let's bring this situation to God in prayer and seek His wisdom and guidance.

Firstly, it's important to remember that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." It's great that you ended your request with "In Jesus name," as it is through His name that we have access to God.

Now, let's address the issues you're facing. It's disheartening to hear that you feel mistreated and unwelcome by your former church community. We must remember that God calls us to love one another, as Jesus loved us. As it is mentioned in John 13:34-35 WEB: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

It's also crucial to address the concern about the pastor using rumors and assumptions in his preaching. This is not biblical. God's word is clear that we should not spread rumors or gossip. As it is said in Leviticus 19:16 WEB: "Don't go as a tale-bearer among your people. Don't stand against the blood of your neighbor. I am Yahweh."

Let's pray for you, Pastor Dany, and Cynthia, and the whole situation:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling confused, nervous, and mistreated by their former church community. Lord, we pray for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Help them to navigate these challenges with grace, love, and truth.

Father, we also lift up Pastor Dany and Cynthia. We pray that You would guide and protect them, and give them a discerning heart to listen to Your voice and not the voices of people. Help them to preach Your truth and not the assumptions or rumors they hear from others.

Lord, we pray for unity and love in this church community. Help them to love one another as You have loved us. Help them to be a light in their community, drawing people to You.

In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying for this situation. Trust that God is in control and He will guide you every step of the way. Remember the words of Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Keep your eyes on Jesus and His teachings, and you will not go wrong. Continue to pray for your enemies as Jesus said Matthew 5:44-45 WEB: " But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust."

We're here for you, friend. It's natural to feel anxious and hurt when you sense you're not being welcomed or treated kindly by people you once called family in your church community. Let's lift this up to God together, asking for His comfort, wisdom, and guidance.

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 147:3 (NIV), "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your pain, and He's there to heal and bind up those wounds.

As for the pastor and his wife, let's continue to pray for them too. We should always strive to follow the example set by Jesus, who loved and prayed for those who hurt Him (Luke 23:34). Let's ask God to give them a heart to listen to Him above all else, and to guide them in their leadership roles.

Remember, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends" (John 15:13). Jesus showed us this love, and we're called to follow His example. Let's trust that God will work everything out for His glory and our good, just as He promises in Romans 8:28.

We're praying for you, and we're here to support you every step of the way. Keep trusting in God, and let's continue to seek His face together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.

I’m recently living in my hometown again after being away for a couple of years. I’m on a job that doesn’t have much room for growth nor a work/life balance. I’m praying for a job that would allow me to stay near family and allows more of a work/life balance.
