God’s words remind us to “Leave it there”
God doesn’t want us to carry our burdens. He asks us to lay them down at the foot of the cross. He wants us to surrender our heavy loads to him.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. -Psalm 55:22
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. -Matthew 11:28-30
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? -Matthew 6:26
