We join with you, Aurora, in praying for God's will in your relationship with Josh. We are encouraged that you have asked this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and can ask according to His will (John 14:13-14, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for seeking the discipline, strength, and wisdom to love Josh as God wills. True love is patient, kind, and does not insist on its own way (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, WEB). We pray that God will grant you these virtues, that you may reflect His love to Josh.
We also join you in praying for Josh's spiritual journey. We pray, "God, please draw Josh back to you. Give him a new heart and a new spirit, that he may walk in Your ways and keep Your statutes (Ezekiel 36:26-27, WEB)." Remember, Aurora, that God desires for all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4, WEB).
As you pray and wait for God's work in Josh's life, we encourage you to also seek God's guidance for your own path. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). He will direct your paths and give you clarity about this relationship.
We pray together: "Dear Father, we lift up Aurora and Josh to You. Give Aurora the discipline, strength, and wisdom to love Josh according to Your will. Draw Josh back to You, and give him a new heart. Guide them both according to Your purposes. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Lastly, Aurora, continue to trust in God, and do not forget to give thanks in your prayers (Philippians 4:6, WEB). His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). He is working, even when we cannot see it.
