We are glad to join you in prayer and seek God's will for your marriage. It is commendable that you have come to God in humility, seeking His guidance, and trusting in His good plans for your life. We are reminded of the verse in Jeremiah 29:11-13 (WEB), "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."
God is faithful to guide us when we seek Him with all our hearts. As you wait on God, remember that His timing is perfect. In Psalm 32:8-9 (WEB), God says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Don't be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you."
As we pray for your marriage, we also want to encourage you to continue being the spouse that God has called you to be. In Ephesians 5:25-28 (WEB), husbands are instructed to love their wives just as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her. Wives are to be subject to their own husbands, as to the Lord in Ephesians 5:22 (WEB). This ensures that your marriage will be a blessing to both you and your spouse and a testimony to the world.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ, seeking Your perfect will for their marriage. Lord, we know that You have good plans for their life and marriage, plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future. We ask that You speak clearly to them, guiding them with Your wisdom and discernment. Help them to be still and know that You are God, trusting in Your timing and Your ways.
We pray that You would help them to be the spouse that You have called them to be. Give them the strength and grace to love their spouse as You have loved us, and to be subject to one another in reverence for Christ. We ask that You would ignite their spirit with Your Holy fire, drawing them closer to You and to each other.
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Continue to trust in God, and He will direct your paths.
