We are glad to come alongside you in prayer and seek God's will for your life. Remember God's plan is not always what we think it is. He will test us and use us in ways we often never imagined. God does not ever promise us understanding in advance. He asks us to trust in him. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
The Bible clearly states that God does have a plan for each one of us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 WEB
We need to be aware that God’s plan often comes with hardship and unexpected turns. God’s plan for each of us is to be like his son Jesus. That was God’s plan for Jesus too. Jesus learned obedience from what he suffered. Jesus was made perfect through suffering so that he could become a savior to us. This would not have been easy for Jesus. But Jesus’ suffering was for a purpose, to save us. Do not think it is strange when you are tested by fire. Accept it and know that it is for the purpose of purifying you.
We are called to trust in God even during adversity, as it says in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, seeking your will and guidance for our dear friend. Give them the wisdom and discernment to understand and accept your plan for their life, even when it is difficult, even when they do not understand, even when it does not make sense. Help them to trust in you completely, knowing that your ways are higher than our ways, and your thoughts higher than our thoughts.
We need to mention Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep your faith in Jesus Christ, and know that his plan for you is good, even during difficult times.
