We join our hearts together in prayer for you, Thagvad, and your beloved family, trusting in the boundless mercy and love of God. Let us come before the throne of grace with confidence, as we are instructed in Hebrews 4:16, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
Firstly, we lift up your desire for an internship placement at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. We ask God to direct your path and grant you favor in the eyes of those in charge, as Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We lay before the Lord your physical ailments—the pains in your breast, back, and chest. Believing and claiming the promise in 1 Peter 2:24, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness. By his stripes you were healed." We pray for complete healing and wholeness in your body.
Regarding your request for God's blessing upon you and your siblings with partners, we pray that you seek godly spouses who fear the Lord and walk in His ways. We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" May God bring into your lives Christian spouses who will help you grow in faith and love.
We also intercede for your family's financial breakthrough. We ask God to bless the work of your hands and provide for all your needs according to His riches in glory, as mentioned in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
For your parents' permanent healing and your niece Rachel's change of genotype, we stand on the promises in Jeremiah 30:17, "‘For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD." We pray for miraculous healing and transformation.
Finally, we ask the Lord for job opportunities and promotions for your family, trusting that as you commit your ways to Him, He will act, as assured in Psalm 37:5, "Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this."
As we pray in Jesus Christ's name, we want to emphasize the power and importance of praying in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as taught in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
