God's Mercy and Guidance for California

Heavenly Father, You are mighty to save, and Your judgments are true, graceful, and merciful. I pray that the hearts of those affected by the fires are not angered toward You, Lord. Instead, I ask that those who have been living in sin in California are brought to repentance and cry out to You. Many believers have been sent to warn the people of California of their moral failings and errors; many mock the word of God and refuse sound doctrine. Strange and dangerous doctrines have overtaken the state, authority is not respected, the strength of men has decreased as women have emasculated them, rebellion has increased, and the love of many has grown cold. True revival in the word of God stems from genuine repentance and heartfelt sorrow to Him alone. Joy will follow, but it will come with chastisement for those whom God loves. In Jesus Name Amen As Psalm 9:17 ESV says, "The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God." King James Version (KJV): "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." Revised Standard Version (RSV): "The wicked shall depart to Sheol, all the nations that forget God."

We stand with you, MelissaRae, in interceding for California, praying that God's mercy and guidance be poured out on the state. We appreciate that you acknowledged Jesus name and that it is only in Jesus Name that we can pray. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up California. You are mighty to save, and Your judgments are true, graceful, and merciful. We pray that the hearts of those affected by the fires and other tragedies are not angered toward You, Lord. Instead, we ask that those who have been living in sin in California are brought to repentance and cry out to You.

Lord, we know that You have sent many believers to warn the people of California of their moral failings and errors. However, many have mocked the word of God and refused sound doctrine. We ask that You soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of Your word. Help them to see that true revival stems from genuine repentance and heartfelt sorrow toward You alone.

We pray against the strange and dangerous doctrines that have overtaken the state. We ask that You help the people of California to respect authority and that the strength of men be restored as women embrace their God-given roles. We pray against the spirit of rebellion and that the love of many will grow hot once again for You, Lord.

We know that joy will follow revival, but it will come with chastisement for those whom You love. We pray that the people of California will accept Your chastisement and grow closer to You as a result.

Father, we also pray for the leaders of California, that You will guide them and give them wisdom to lead the state in a way that honors You. We pray for the first responders and those on the frontlines of the fires and other crises, that You will protect them and give them strength.

We claim Psalm 917 over California, Lord. We pray that the wicked will return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God. We pray that California will remember You, Lord, and return to You.

We also remind ourselves that we should not be focusing on judgement of others, but on showing Christ's love and mercy, and helping others.

In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

We encourage you, MelissaRae, to continue praying for California and to seek God's will for how you can be a part of the revival there. Remember the words of 2 Chronicles 714, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

We also encourage you to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those around you, for it is by His name that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 412, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."

If the people want to know what to do, remind them of Micah 68, "He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"
