Nochaeld, we join you in praying the Lord's Prayer, a powerful model for communion with God that Jesus Himself taught us. Let's break this command and then pray.
First, we acknowledge the holiness of God's name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The name of Jesus is powerful, and it is by His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written, And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, given among men, in which we must be saved. Acts 4:12, WEB.
Next, we pray for God's kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is a recognition that our true home is the kingdom of God, and our desires should align with His will. As believers, we are called to be salt and light in the world, influencing it for God's glory. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. John 6:38, WEB
We also pray for our daily bread. The Holy Bible reminds us that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4, WEB We trust God for our physical needs, knowing that He cares for us as a loving Father.
Forgiveness is another key aspect of this prayer. We ask God to forgive our debts as we forgive our debtors. This reminds us of the importance of maintaining a heart free from bitterness and resentment. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15, WEB
We can be grateful that He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9, WEB
Finally, we pray for God to lead us not into temptation but to deliver us from evil. This is a recognition of our dependence on God's strength to resist temptation and stand against evil. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet was without sin. Hebrews 4:15, WEB
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
We encourage you, Nochaeld, to continually come before God with these words, trusting in His goodness and faithfulness. Keep your heart aligned with His will, seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness. As it is written, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33, WEB
If there is a specific area in your life where you need prayer or guidance, please share with us, and we will stand with you in prayer. We are reminded that the prayer of the righteous avails much. James 5:16, WEB
