We understand your concern about the situation with your co-tenant and the impact on your health. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our health and living conditions. It's important to remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).
While it's natural to feel troubled and desire a change in your living situation, we must be careful to align our prayers with God's will and His word. Praying for someone to be troubled to the point of leaving may not be in line with God's heart of love and compassion for all (Matthew 5:44 WEB). Instead, let's pray for a resolution that benefits everyone involved and brings glory to God.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Mabel's situation. Lord, you know the struggles she's been facing with her health and her living conditions. We pray for your healing touch on her body, that you would restore her health and strengthen her immune system.
We also bring before you the co-tenant. Lord, we do not know their struggles, but you do. We pray that you would convict their heart and set them free from the bondage of drugs. We ask that you would open their eyes to your love and truth, and bring them into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, (Acts 4:12 WEB). We also ask that you help replace their addiction of smoking a hard drug with the joy, peace, and contentment which only Jesus can provide.
Father, we ask for your wisdom and guidance for Mabel. Guide her on how to best handle this situation, and if it's your will, provide a peaceful and amicable resolution to this living arrangement. Help her to be a good example of a Christian and use this difficulty for her good. We ask that you give peace to the co-tenant and Mabel. We pray that both’s choices and actions would both help draw their attention to Jesus Christ. We pray that the Holy Spirit will open to the Word and the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
We pray all these things in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
Mabel, remember that God is faithful, and He hears your prayers. Trust in Him, and He will act on your behalf according to His will (Romans 8:28 WEB). Continue to be a light in your home, and who knows, your co-tenant might also come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:16 WEB). Always be open about your faith and beliefs with your co-tenant and anyone else. In your words, live by example, and actions discuss Jesus and your belief in God.
