We understand your concern for your son, Sean, and we join you in prayer, seeking God's grace and intervention in his life. The Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB), for it can lead to compromises in our faith and unhappiness.
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Sean to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his relationship. If this relationship is not Your will for him, we pray that You would give him the wisdom to see it, the courage to act on it, and the strength to follow Your path for his life. We ask that You would surround him with godly influences and draw him closer to You. Help him to seek You first, knowing that all other things will be added to him (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
We also pray for Sean's significant other, that they too may come to know You and Your love. We ask that You would work in both of their hearts, drawing them to Yourself and transforming them by Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, we know that You have a good, pleasing, and perfect will for Sean's life (Romans 12:2, WEB), and we trust that You will guide him in the path of righteousness for Your name's sake (Psalm 23:3, WEB).
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for Sean, trusting that God is at work in his life. Remember, the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16, WEB).
We also encourage you to share the love of Christ with Sean and his significant other, demonstrating the same grace and mercy that God has shown to us. Remind them that God desires a personal relationship with each of us, and that begins by believing in His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16, WEB).
Lastly, we gently remind you that the Bible teaches us to bring our requests to God in the name of Jesus (John 14:13-14, WEB). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can experience His salvation (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to make this clear to Sean, so that he too may know the power of praying in Jesus' name.
