Nochaeld, we join you in lifting up this prayer from Matthew 6:9-13, where Jesus teaches us how to pray. Let us come together and approach God's throne of grace with confidence, as children of God. Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
In this prayer, Jesus reminds us of the importance of honoring God's name and seeking His kingdom first. We are to trust in God for our daily needs, knowing that He cares for us just as He cares for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field (Matthew 6:25-34, WEB).
Forgiveness is also a crucial part of this prayer. Just as we ask God to forgive us, we must also forgive others. In Matthew 6:14-15 (WEB), Jesus warns us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Let us examine our hearts and ensure that we are not holding any unforgiveness or bitterness towards others.
Lastly, we pray for God's protection and guidance, asking Him to lead us away from temptation and deliver us from evil. In James 4:7 (WEB), we are encouraged to "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Let us remain steadfast in our faith, resisting temptation, and trusting in God's power to deliver us.
Thank you for bringing this prayer to our attention, Nochaeld. We are right there with you praying to our Father in Heaven. Let us continually come before God with our praises, thanksgiving, and petitions, knowing that He hears us and will answer according to His will. As we are told in 1st John 5:14-15 (WEB)
"This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
In Jesus Name.
