GOD'S EVERLASTING LOVE
For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth...Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him. For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:4-6, 8-11
Do you really understand the power of your awesome mighty God on this Lord’s Day? He created the Heavens and all the earth. He created you and loves you with an everlasting love. Do you believe in the power of God's Holy written Word? May I remind you today that if the Lord has spoken to your heart, given you a promise or a vision or a sign regarding marriage restoration, then you need to walk in faith, hope and trust in your mighty holy God for His plan for your life and marriage. God can do all things, and no plan of God's can be thwarted as His plans stand firm forever!
"I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted." Job 42:2
As you stand for the sanctity of marriage, may you never forget that God is more upset and angry over the sins of your spouse who has chosen to deny His commands. The reason that there is often a delay is that the Lord does not want your husband or wife to reap the consequences of their sins. The Lord loves righteousness and justice. So I believe that you and I need to pray for God to bring justice back to all marriages. We need to pray that your spouse and loved ones will fear the Lord and revere Him and be obedient to His wooing. God is the God of the universe and we need to never forget the holiness of God.
God loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you and your spouse's sins. As believers, we need to praise and thank the Lord daily for our eternal life. God has given us an everlasting covenant if we will follow His will, His way and obey His commands.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children- with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. Psalm 103:11-18
What a promise! I know your heart is broken with emotions of pain and suffering. Your different circumstances may try to overwhelm you. Keep looking up, asking the Lord for His directions for the problems that you are facing. Never forget that God loves you with an everlasting love. Just keep praying, trusting and put all your hope and faith in your Lord Jesus Christ to calm the raging storm that you are in right now. Remember, the Lord wants your husband or wife surrendering their heart and life to the Lord and then return back home to their waiting spouse and family.
Look upon my suffering and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law. Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your promise. Psalm 119:153-154
Never forget that you are on the Lord's team! You are not just fighting for your marriage, but for your children's marriages and for future generations. Never give up on God who is your Deliverer! When you worship the Lord today, remember the songs you sing and know that the Lord wants to be your Savior, Lord, Provider, Defender, Healer, Protector and Friend. Please also remember to pray for your pastor and for all the men of God and Bible teachers every weekend to become burdened and pray for all marriages in their churches, pray for all sinners and then pray for all prodigal husbands, wives and children around the world. There is power in prayer.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it.†John 14:12-14
Never give up on the Lord or on your spouse. I know because I did. As Bob shared for years, the Lord is speaking to your spouse all the time as you are praying. Be fervent and be faithful in staying close to the Lord, reading the Word, praising Him daily and speak God's Word by personalizing scriptures as you pray. God's Word will never return void. Do not be tempted or deceived or defeated by the enemy, Satan, who wants you to stop standing every day! He wants to not only destroy you, but your spouse and your whole family.
Do you need to make a new commitment now? Will you wait in hope, standing firm in your faith and believing in God's mighty power for your spouse to be set free from lying, deception, adultery, and any and all bondages or addictions? We hear weekly of standers who become weary or stop believing in God’s mighty power and stop praying, reading God's Word and they wonder why God is not moving in their lives. You need to use your spiritual weapons every day. You are in God's army. Don’t go AWOL. The Lord needs you. Nothing is impossible for the Lord God! God loves you with an everlasting love. Don't give up on your marriage!
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with lovingkindness. I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel." Jeremiah 31:3-4
